Facilities Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager to oversee operations and safety at Amana Healthcare’s new hospital in Al Jasra, Bahrain, opening in late 2025. The role combines facility maintenance, health and safety compliance, vendor management, and budgeting to ensure uninterrupted, high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, generators, medical gas, water, and fire safety systems.
• Develop preventive and corrective maintenance programs and conduct regular facility inspections.
• Manage building renovations, modifications, and capital improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with NHRA, Ministry of Health, Civil Defence, occupational health and safety, and environmental regulations.
• Lead safety initiatives, emergency preparedness, fire drills, evacuation procedures, and disaster management plans.
• Support accreditation, inspections, and audits, maintaining proper documentation.
• Oversee outsourced service providers such as housekeeping, security, waste management, pest control, laundry, landscaping, and maintenance contractors.
• Negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance, and ensure service level agreements are met.
• Prepare and manage the annual facilities budget, monitor expenditures, and implement cost‑saving and energy‑efficiency measures.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented professional with experience in facility operations and health & safety management.
• Knowledge of Bahrain Labour Law, Ministry of Labour regulations, and international safety standards.
• Familiarity with NHRA, Ministry of Health, and Civil Defence compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, vendor contracts, and large‑scale renovation projects.
