Facilities Manager (Sports Club)

About the role

The Bahrain Rugby Club is seeking a full‑time Facilities Manager to lead the upkeep, development and safe operation of its sports, social and leisure facilities. Based on‑site in Janabiya, the role ensures a welcoming environment for members, guests and staff while supporting the club’s growth ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and hand over capital projects, from design through contractor selection, procurement, scheduling and risk management.
• Oversee all construction, renovation and expansion works, ensuring compliance with specifications, budgets, timelines and quality standards.
• Develop and run a comprehensive maintenance programme for buildings, grounds, equipment and amenities.
• Conduct regular facility inspections, identify hazards or improvement opportunities, and prioritize work orders.
• Manage budgets, track expenses and optimise resource allocation for cost‑effective operations.
• Lead and mentor the facilities team, providing guidance, training and performance support.
• Coordinate with other departments, event planners and stakeholders to deliver successful events that rely on facility resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Facilities Management or a related field (preferred).
• 7–10 years of facilities or project management experience, ideally within a sports or recreational environment.
• Customer‑focused, proactive, highly organised and able to multitask under pressure.
• Strong time‑management and decision‑making abilities.
