Finance Manager

About the role

United Cement Company WLL is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead its Finance, Accounts, Purchasing & Stores functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial stewardship, strategic planning, and ensuring robust internal controls across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of Finance, Accounts, Purchasing & Stores.
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, payment processing and control frameworks.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor cash flow, funding needs, income, expenditure and overall financial health.
• Analyse budget variances and provide actionable recommendations.
• Lead internal and external audit coordination, including schedule preparation and implementation of audit recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and internal controls.
• Identify financial and operational risks and strengthen control mechanisms.
• Develop and maintain financial systems, models and business analysis tools.
• Support strategic business planning and provide financial advice to senior management.
• Oversee purchasing and stores activities, ensuring cost‑effective controls and documentation.
• Lead, supervise and develop the Finance, Accounts, Purchasing & Stores teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management or Business Administration.
• 5–10 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a related industry.
• Hands‑on experience coordinating internal and external audits and implementing audit findings.
• Proven track record in budgeting, financial reporting, cash‑flow management and financial analysis.
• Experience in purchasing and stores management is an advantage.
• Strong computer and financial systems proficiency.
• MBA, Master’s degree or professional qualifications (CFA, ACA, ACCA) are a plus.
