Fire & Gas Technician – Installation & Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking experienced Fire & Gas Technicians to join our team in Bahrain, responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining fire and gas detection systems to ensure reliability and safety across operational and project environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install fire and gas detection systems, including sensors, detectors, alarms, and control panels, and assist in commissioning and functional testing.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and calibration of fire and gas detection devices, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose faults, replace defective components, and restore systems to operational status promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, international standards (NFPA, API), and local regulations.
• Respond to emergency situations involving fire and gas alarms and support safety audits and hazard analysis activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fire and gas systems within oil & gas or refinery environments.
• Knowledge of fire detection technologies, gas detection principles, and control systems.
• Familiarity with safety standards and hazardous area classifications (ATEX, IECEx).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
