Fit-Out Engineer

About the role

The Fit-Out Engineer will lead interior fit‑out projects for the Group’s retail, food & beverage and commercial properties across Bahrain. This full‑time, on‑site position involves reviewing designs, preparing technical specifications and supervising contractors to deliver projects safely, on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Prepare technical specifications, material approvals and detailed reports.
• Coordinate with designers, landlords, suppliers and contractors.
• Conduct site inspections, ensure compliance with local building codes, health & safety regulations and company quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, manage scheduling, resource allocation and cost control.
• Support handover, snag rectification and continuous improvement of fit‑out processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design or related field.
• Strong technical knowledge of interior fit‑out works, finishes, joinery and MEP coordination.
• Proven experience in project planning, execution and contractor supervision, preferably in retail, hospitality or commercial fit‑out projects.
• Good understanding of Bahrain or GCC building codes, health & safety and quality assurance practices.
• Effective communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Basic project management software.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Technical knowledge of interior fit‑out works, finishes, joinery and MEP coordination.
