Graduate Civil Engineer (Bahraini National)

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Bahraini national to join its 24‑month ADVANCE graduate program as a Civil Engineer. The role provides a comprehensive introduction to civil and coastal maritime engineering, allowing the graduate to develop technical expertise while contributing to real projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams and project models according to discipline requirements.
• Prepare and review drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Apply design and technical knowledge to deliver high‑quality outputs within project timelines.
• Collect and analyse data from BIM/CAD models and interdisciplinary project models.
• Use engineering software to solve fundamental problems and ensure design accuracy.
• Coordinate with engineers from other disciplines to maintain design continuity.
• Participate in design progress and coordination meetings.
• Check model quality produced by BIM/CAD teams for compliance with design instructions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Coastal Maritime Engineering (Master’s preferred) from an accredited university.
• Academic background in coastal processes and marine structure design (e.g., concrete quay walls, jetties, beaches, armoured shore protection).
• Bahraini nationality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BIM and CAD tools.
• Experience in engineering design software and computer‑aided calculations.
• Ability to produce and interpret technical drawings and models.
