Head of Engineering – Options

About the role

Keyrock is seeking a Head of Engineering – Options to lead its Options Engineering team. The role combines technical leadership with people management to drive the evolution of a Rust‑native systematic options trading platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of around seven engineers focused on options trading.
• Own and continuously improve the existing Rust‑based systematic options platform.
• Provide technical direction on trading infrastructure, system design, performance, reliability and risk controls.
• Collaborate closely with trading, quant, product, risk and infrastructure stakeholders.
• Resolve complex engineering and trading‑system challenges while maintaining production reliability.
• Balance delivery ownership, operational discipline and people leadership.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in systematic trading, options market‑making or low‑latency trading systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Rust, C++ (or similar low‑level languages).
• Proven track record in automated quoting, execution and risk management for options.
• Ability to lead and mentor a small engineering team.
• Based in a European time zone or US East Coast.
