Hostess - Five-Star Hotel

About the role

Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain, an ultra-luxury property described as "The Palace of the Secret Garden" with 78 private pool villas, is looking for a hostess. The role covers front-of-house reception and table assignment, guest greeting and service, and coordination of food and beverage serving staff.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and record guests' reservations and assign tables
• Greet guests at the entrance of the dining room, restaurant or lounge and escort them to their seats
• Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service and attend to complaints
• Order dining room supplies and equipment
• Inspect dining and serving areas and equipment
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of food and beverage servers and other serving staff
• Maintain financial statements and records
• Comply with LQA and Forbes standards while on duty
• Perform any other duties assigned by management

Required profile

• Secondary school education
• Hospitality-related degree or diploma
• At least 1-2 years of experience as a waitress/hostess in a five-star hotel
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent food and beverage knowledge
• Ability to work well under pressure and excellent attention to detail

Required skills

• Advanced level of Business English
• Proficiency in a second language such as Arabic
• Experience with fire and life safety systems
