Lobby Lounge Manager

About the role

Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa, a 5-star luxury resort in Manama, is looking for a Lobby Lounge Manager to oversee the daily operations of Macaron, the hotel's lobby lounge. The role ensures exceptional guest experiences, efficient operations, high service standards and the achievement of departmental revenue and profitability targets in line with Sofitel brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of Macaron and deliver personalised guest experiences in line with Sofitel's luxury service standards.
• Lead, coach and develop the team, maintaining high levels of service and product knowledge.
• Ensure consistent quality of food, beverages, presentation and service delivery.
• Monitor outlet revenue, costs, inventory and profitability.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels, duty rosters and team productivity.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and resolve them promptly.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Culinary, Stewarding, Front Office and other departments.
• Conduct regular briefings, training sessions and performance reviews.
• Drive upselling initiatives and support hotel promotions, seasonal offerings and special events.
• Maintain the outlet's ambience, cleanliness and presentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant food and beverage experience in luxury hotels with managerial responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, lounge operations and guest relations.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Good understanding of outlet budgeting, cost control, inventory management and revenue generation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with restaurant POS systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
