Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing daily shift operations of housekeeping, recreation/health club, and laundry (if applicable) at our property in Manama. This role ensures guest rooms, public areas, and employee zones are clean, well‑maintained, and meet the brand’s standards while supporting guest and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise daily housekeeping shift activities, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, assigning work orders and verifying timely completion.
• Manage inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms to guarantee adequate stock levels.
• Monitor and control departmental budgets, striving to meet or exceed financial targets.
• Communicate priorities and corrective actions to staff, following up to ensure understanding and implementation.
• Train new room attendants, provide ongoing coaching, and oversee performance documentation.
• Schedule staff according to business demand, track attendance, and maintain fair application of policies.
• Participate in departmental meetings and employee recognition programs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required).
• Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, budgeting, and inventory control.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
