Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager oversees all housekeeping operations, ensuring the property meets the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation for guests, residents or employees.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping activities and maintain established cleanliness standards across all areas.
• Train, motivate and manage housekeeping staff, monitor attendance and performance.
• Develop cleaning schedules, allocate duties and conduct regular inspections of rooms and public spaces.
• Control inventory of supplies, linen and equipment, managing costs and waste.
• Ensure safe use of chemicals, equipment and PPE in line with health‑and‑safety policies.
• Coordinate with maintenance, front office and other departments to resolve issues and handle guest requests.
• Monitor departmental budgets, control expenses and drive efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in Hospitality/Hotel Management or related field (preferred).
• 3–5 years of housekeeping experience, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience in hotels, resorts, serviced apartments or similar facilities is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning methods, sanitation standards and chemical handling.
• Excellent leadership, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficient in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as needed.
