About the role
The Cook II at La Plage will prepare and cook food according to established recipes, quality and presentation standards while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix according to recipes.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers and test foods for proper cooking.
- Monitor food quality, maintain temperature control of appliances and food.
- Set‑up and break‑down work stations, serve food in proper portions and clean/disinfect kitchen areas and equipment.
- Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies and report any issues.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related food‑and‑beverage experience.
- Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.
- Professional appearance and ability to communicate clearly.
Required skills
- Food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Operation of kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers and microwaves.
