HR Manager (Part‑time, Hybrid)

About the role

The HR Manager will lead day‑to‑day human resources activities for Mercure in Manama, working part‑time in a hybrid setting. The role ensures smooth employee lifecycle management, supports recruitment, and partners with leadership to meet staffing needs while fostering an inclusive, high‑performing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily HR operations, including onboarding, performance reviews and off‑boarding.
• Coordinate recruitment processes and support workforce planning.
• Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring compliance with Bahrain labour regulations.
• Handle employee relations issues and promote an inclusive workplace culture.
• Manage HR documentation, HRIS data and generate HR reports and metrics.
• Contribute to training, development and employee engagement programmes.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage core HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee relations.
• Experience developing and maintaining HR policies and ensuring legal compliance.
• Strong communication, conflict‑resolution and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• High level of discretion and integrity handling confidential information.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) are a plus.
• Previous HR generalist or manager experience, preferably in hospitality or service‑oriented organisations.
