HSE Specialist – NSA Bahrain

About the role

The HSE Specialist will implement and support health, safety and environmental policies for KBR’s operations at Naval Support Activity Bahrain. The role ensures a safe, compliant work environment for operational staff through inspections, incident reporting and regulatory adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Perform HSE assignments under general supervision, applying standard concepts and practices.
• Evaluate situations, analyze solutions and apply established procedures while building technical competencies.
• Coordinate and facilitate audits of company‑operated facilities and projects to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Collaborate with operations personnel, clients, subcontractors and regulatory agencies to interpret applicable standards, codes and regulations.
• Assist in developing and implementing systems, processes and tools to capture, analyse and report HSE performance data and metrics.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of evolving regulatory requirements and auditing standards.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2 + years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in contingency environments and government contracts.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
