Insurance Operations Officer

About the role

The Insurance Operations Officer for Consumer Lines will manage the end‑to‑end placement of retail insurance products such as motor, home, travel and other consumer policies. Acting as the bridge between telesales, insurers and internal teams, the role ensures accurate, timely issuance and renewal of policies while maintaining compliance with underwriting and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and verify lead submissions, obtain and compare quotations from approved insurers, negotiate terms and confirm policy placement.
• Process new business, renewals, endorsements and cancellations in the broker management system, ensuring documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Manage renewal cycles, secure quotations 45 days before expiry, track renewals and prevent coverage lapses.
• Maintain relationships with insurer underwriting and operations teams, monitor response times and support product development and onboarding.
• Ensure all placements follow company policies and regulatory requirements, support audits, and suggest workflow improvements.

Required profile

• Relevant education and experience in insurance operations or a related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM and ERP systems for policy administration.
• Knowledge of insurance underwriting guidelines and regulatory compliance (PDPL, CBB).
