IT Security Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Security Consultant to lead and support our cybersecurity initiatives. You will work remotely with engineering, infrastructure, and leadership teams to strengthen our security posture, identify vulnerabilities, and implement best‑practice solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and improve security controls, policies, and operational practices.
• Conduct security reviews, risk assessments, and vulnerability analyses.
• Support the implementation of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
• Monitor security incidents and assist with response and remediation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams on secure system design.
• Assist with compliance, governance, and security documentation.
• Recommend security solutions and process improvements.
• Support awareness training and promote cybersecurity best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in IT security, cybersecurity consulting, or information security.
• Strong understanding of security principles, risk management, and security operations.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH are a plus.
