Junior Coordinator – School of Nursing & Midwifery

About the role

The Junior Coordinator will provide essential administrative support to the Head of the School of Nursing & Midwifery, ensuring smooth operation of academic and student‑related processes.

Key responsibilities

• Organise meetings, take minutes, and circulate agendas for the School.
• Liaise with finance to raise purchase orders, process invoices and submit expenses.
• Manage student communications, timetabling, ICT, library and VLE access issues.
• Maintain programme documents such as module descriptors, guidelines and SOPs.
• Coordinate exams with Faculty and Academic Operations, and support admissions and orientation activities.
• Assist the Year Director with internal and external quality‑assurance reviews.
• Book rooms, arrange transportation, order stationery and ensure compliance with RCSI policies.

Required profile

• Proficient in Excel and the full Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience working with databases and handling multiple complex tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational and time‑management skills.
• Empathetic to part‑time postgraduate students who work full‑time in nursing practice.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Understanding of confidentiality, data protection and intellectual property.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
