Physical Education Teacher – Start August 2027

About the role

The British School of Bahrain is seeking a passionate Teacher of Physical Education to join its award‑winning team from August 2027. You will deliver the British curriculum, inspire students of all abilities and contribute to a vibrant co‑curricular programme.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons that align with the school curriculum and external assessment requirements.
• Assess student progress regularly, providing targeted feedback to support outstanding achievement.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and motivated to take risks.
• Collaborate with colleagues, share best practices and pursue continuous professional development.
• Participate actively in the school’s co‑curricular programme, leading clubs and school‑wide initiatives.
• Maintain open communication with parents to build strong partnerships supporting each child’s development.

Required profile

• A degree and PGCE, B.Ed or equivalent in the subject taught or a closely related field.
• Experience teaching the British curriculum to GCSE and A‑Level students (highly desirable).
• Confidence using ICT to enhance teaching and learning.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure and a commitment to child welfare.
• High expectations and aspirations for all students, with a demonstrable love for the role.
• Open‑minded, willing to learn and develop professionally.
