Junior Translator / Interpreter (Non-Key Expert)

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Junior Translator / Interpreter to join a pool of Non‑Key Experts for a 36‑month EU outreach project covering North Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf. The role supports DG MENA’s communication activities, ensuring that project materials are accurately translated and interpreted for diverse audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Translate communication materials, reports, publications, presentations and other institutional documents.
• Provide interpretation services during meetings, workshops, conferences, webinars and stakeholder consultations.
• Ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency and cultural appropriateness of all translated content.
• Assist in the preparation and review of multilingual communication materials.
• Collaborate with communication teams to deliver clear messaging across target audiences.
• Support terminology management and maintain consistency across project documentation.
• Facilitate multilingual communication during project events and outreach activities.

Required profile

• Degree in translation, interpretation or an equivalent qualification.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in the target language and fluent English.
• Minimum two years of general translation/interpretation experience.
• At least one year of experience with communication or institutional content.
