Lead Sales Engineer – Applied HVAC

About the role

The Lead Sales Engineer – Applied will drive revenue for the Applied HVAC product portfolio, covering chillers, air handling units and fan coil units. You will manage the full sales cycle from enquiry to project hand‑over, building strong relationships with consultants, contractors and end‑users in the Bahrain market.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve annual sales booking and billing targets for the Applied HVAC portfolio.
• Develop and manage the complete sales pipeline, coordinating enquiries, specifications, awards, delivery, invoicing and payment follow‑up.
• Establish and nurture relationships with MEP consultants, main contractors, developers and key stakeholders.
• Influence project specifications during design and concept stages through technical presentations and product demonstrations.
• Prepare technical selections, compliance statements, equipment schedules, BOQs and commercial proposals using approved HVAC selection tools.
• Lead commercial negotiations with manufacturers, suppliers, consultants and customers to secure competitive pricing and project margins.
• Coordinate site visits, performance testing, technical submittals and provide ongoing technical and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts and customer interactions in the company CRM and produce regular sales and market reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 6–10 years of progressive HVAC project sales experience, focused on applied products (chillers, AHUs, FCUs).
• Proven track record in competitive Middle‑Eastern project markets with long‑cycle enterprise sales.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HVAC selection software (e.g., Carrier E‑Design Suite).
• Strong knowledge of applied HVAC products: chillers, air handling units, fan coil units.
• Experience using CRM or sales reporting systems.
