Lead System Engineer

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking a Lead System Engineer to head the detailed system and application software engineering team for control systems and human‑machine interfaces. You will drive design, assembly, testing and integration activities to meet project requirements while supporting the company’s mission of sustainable industrial innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the system engineering team on assigned projects and ensure alignment with technical specifications and standards.
• Perform FEED (Front End Engineering Design) activities, standardising designs and providing value‑added engineering solutions.
• Develop technical solutions for complex control schemes, alarm management, third‑party interfaces (Modbus, OPC) and asset management.
• Design HMI layouts that satisfy project requirements and optimise engineering using appropriate tools.
• Conduct design reviews, ensure compliance with YMA QMS, and manage documentation and quality inspections.
• Prepare and review software‑related Bills of Materials, purchase orders and coordinate with customers, lead project engineers and document controllers.
• Monitor project progress, adhere to schedules, manage scope deviations and participate in site acceptance testing, commissioning and start‑up.

Required profile

• Degree in an engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in FEED and control system projects.
• Strong background in system and application software engineering for industrial automation.
