Legal Affairs & Credit Control Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded professional to lead our credit control and debt recovery activities while supporting key corporate governance processes. The role combines legal affairs expertise with strong financial acumen to protect the company’s cash flow and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enforce credit control policies and procedures.
• Monitor customer accounts, credit exposure, and identify overdue payments.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors and key customers to facilitate timely collections.
• Lead debt recovery efforts, including handling bounced cheques, police complaints, court execution processes, and coordination with external legal counsel.
• Assess collection risks and recommend appropriate legal actions.
• Maintain legal documentation, contracts, litigation records, and recovery files.
• Coordinate Executive Committee, Board, and Shareholder meetings, preparing agendas, minutes, and action trackers.
• Maintain statutory corporate records and governance documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with company policies and legal obligations.

Required profile

• Experience in credit control, collections, legal affairs, or a related role within Bahrain.
• Preferably experience with contractors as customers or in a Bahraini law firm handling debt recovery.
• Strong understanding of credit control processes, debt recovery, and legal coordination.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship‑management skills with solid commercial judgment.
• Fluent written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
