Legal Specialist

About the role

Alzayani Investments is looking for a meticulous Legal Specialist to join its team in Manama, Bahrain. The role involves providing comprehensive legal support across multiple business units, ensuring compliance with local regulations and mitigating risk.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the legal department with case proceedings, document preparation, and service of legal documents.
• Handle legal transactions before government authorities such as the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Land Registration Bureau, Traffic Directorate, and others.
• Maintain up‑to‑date commercial registrations (CRs) for the company, its divisions, and owners, ensuring no violations.
• Draft, review, and translate agreements, NDAs, MOUs, IDAs, AMCs, resolutions, POAs, and other board‑related documents.
• Conduct legal research, gather trial documents, and prepare legal opinions and studies.
• Organise and maintain the legal library and case files, summarising case numbers, dates, hearings, and decisions.
• Follow up major court cases with police stations, prosecution offices, and relevant ministries.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Directors and Legal Affairs Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in a corporate legal department or reputable law firm, preferably across diverse industries.
• In‑depth knowledge of Bahraini corporate and commercial law.
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication abilities in English; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organisational skills with high attention to detail.
• Professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.
