Lifeguard

About the role

The Lifeguard ensures the safety of guests in the swimming area, providing rescue assistance, monitoring pool conditions, and promoting a welcoming atmosphere at the Marriott facility in Manama.

Key responsibilities

• Observe swimmers and intervene with appropriate rescue techniques when needed.
• Monitor the pool area for hazardous conditions, unsafe activities, and guests in distress.
• Enforce facility rules and promote a safe, fun environment for all guests.
• Provide first‑aid assistance to injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Maintain pool deck cleanliness, handle towels, and perform routine cleaning tasks.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Welcome guests, ensure professional appearance, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Inspect equipment for defects and adhere to company policies and confidentiality standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior lifeguard experience required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lb unassisted and 75 lb with assistance.
