Machinist – Workshop Team

About the role

Sulzer is seeking an experienced Machinist to join its workshop team in Bahrain. The role involves machining, repairing and refurbishing industrial components for rotating equipment and heavy industrial applications.

Key responsibilities

• Operate conventional and CNC lathes, milling machines and other machine shop equipment.
• Machine, repair and refurbish industrial components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform precision measurements and quality inspections using standard inspection tools.
• Interpret technical drawings and machining requirements.
• Support workshop activities while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
• Complete work to required quality and delivery standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Machinist in a machine shop or workshop environment.
• Strong experience operating manual/conventional lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using micrometers, verniers and other precision measuring instruments.
• Strong focus on quality, safety and attention to detail.
