Manager - Business Credit Office

About the role

HSBC is establishing a Business Credit Office (BCO) as the first‑line credit management hub for its Corporate and Institutional Banking division. The Manager will act as the primary credit advisor to Relationship Managers, ensuring a seamless end‑to‑end credit and lending service for both existing and prospective clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support the full credit and lending servicing journey, from application to renewal.
• Assist Relationship Managers with credit analysis and timely preparation of credit proposals.
• Liaise with internal teams to draft facility letters and coordinate security documentation.
• Ensure external legal counsel provides complete security documents.
• Conduct periodic credit reviews and monitor covenant compliance.
• Track and report on credit quality, escalating risk issues as needed.
• Implement a consistent underwriting and lending process that balances client needs with risk protection.
• Collaborate closely with Coverage and Transaction Support teams to maintain smooth operations.
