Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will lead the operation and upkeep of mechanical systems, with a strong focus on HVAC and chilled‑water plant assets. You will ensure reliable service delivery, meet client SLAs, and support ENOVA’s business objectives through proactive maintenance and technical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance of HVAC equipment (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, ductwork, valves, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and resolve faults in cooling, airflow, and control systems.
• Plan, execute, and monitor preventive‑maintenance (PPM) programmes for all mechanical assets.
• Optimize HVAC performance for energy efficiency and operational reliability.
• Review and interpret HVAC drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Prepare BOQs, method statements, technical submittals and evaluate vendor quotations.
• Assign tasks, coordinate workforce scheduling and lead toolbox talks for the HVAC team.
• Escalate and resolve complex technical issues with minimal supervision.
• Conduct quality checks, site visits and ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental standards.
• Maintain accurate CMMS/CAFM records, validate service reports and update maintenance logs.
• Lead reliability initiatives, including root‑cause analysis and predictive/preventive maintenance planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within HVAC and chilled‑water plant environments.
• Ability to supervise technicians, provide technical direction and mentor junior staff.
• Strong analytical skills to diagnose faults and implement corrective actions.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities across interdisciplinary teams.

• CMMS/CAFM management.
• Interpretation of technical drawings and schematics.
• Vendor quotation evaluation and BOQ preparation.
