Mechanical Technician III

About the role

Enerflex is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician III to perform and supervise field‑based mechanical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair across operational sites.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and supervise preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on rotating and static mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical failures, equipment malfunctions and operational issues.
• Coordinate field activities with operations, engineering, maintenance and HSE teams.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns, provide rapid technical support and support shutdowns, turnarounds and commissioning projects.
• Conduct hazard assessments, participate in incident investigations and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and work permits.

Required profile

• Diploma, HND, Associate Degree or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance or related discipline.
• 8‑10 years of experience with major maintenance on natural gas engines and reciprocating compressors.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Waukesha VHP series engines, diesel engines and Ariel compressors.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Willingness to work field‑based shifts, weekends, overtime and emergency call‑outs.

• Maintenance of Ariel reciprocating compressors.
• Use of precision measurement instruments for component condition assessment.
• Machine cleaning equipment operation.
• Assembly and dismantling of internal combustion engines and reciprocating gas compressors.
