Project Planner – Joinery & Furniture Manufacturing

About the role

Planners are responsible for estimating project timescales and ensuring deadlines are met. They collaborate with setting‑out, manufacturing, procurement and logistics to keep projects on schedule and guarantee material availability.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing project timelines, detailed schedules and baseline dashboards for joinery and furniture manufacturing projects.
• Identify critical‑path activities, dependencies and potential bottlenecks, and track progress against schedules.
• Act as a key interface between setting‑out, procurement, production, logistics, project management and external clients.
• Facilitate communication to keep all stakeholders aligned on status, requirements and deadlines.
• Collaborate with material engineers and procurement to understand material lead times and follow up orders.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and assist in resolving production coordination issues.
• Contribute to process improvements by providing operational support and proposing procedural innovations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or interior design.
• 3–5 years of experience in project planning, scheduling and operations within manufacturing or construction/fit‑out.
• Experience with extensions of time, baseline schedules, Earned Value Management (EVM) and regular reporting.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 and MS Project (advantageous).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
