Physiotherapist – High Performance Swimming & Diving

About the role

The World Aquatics Training Centre in Bahrain is looking for a qualified Physiotherapist to join its expanding swimming and diving scholarship programme. Working closely with the Head Coach and Scholarship Programme Manager, you will provide clinical care, injury prevention and rehabilitation to elite athletes in a high‑performance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries in swimmers and divers.
• Design and lead rehabilitation programmes and return‑to‑performance plans.
• Deliver sport‑specific injury‑prevention strategies and provide pitch‑side/pool‑side physiotherapy during camps and competitions.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and contribute to injury‑surveillance reporting.
• Collaborate with coaches, strength & conditioning staff and performance scientists to integrate care.
• Provide physiotherapy coverage during training camps, international competitions and travel.

Required profile

• Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised institution.
• Valid professional registration/license to practice as a Physiotherapist.
• Proven experience working with elite or high‑performance swimming and/or diving athletes.
• Experience in musculoskeletal assessment and rehabilitation planning.
