Procurement & Contract Management Specialist

About the role

Zain Bahrain is looking for a Procurement & Contract Management Specialist within its Finance division. The role leads the sourcing of goods and services and oversees the full lifecycle of supplier contracts, integrating procurement, logistics and contract management to deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions that meet departmental needs in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Competitively procure all goods and services for the company, keeping track of market trends, pricing, cost trends and supplier technology roadmaps.
• Ensure all procurement and contracting activities follow the company's Sourcing and Procurement Policies.
• Run the turnkey procurement cycle: compare supplier offers, negotiate and place purchase orders.
• Coordinate with requestor departments on documentation, progress and delivery times, and ensure purchase orders meet agreed KPIs.
• Maintain records of procurement documentation and an organized repository of active and archived supplier contracts.
• Draft, evaluate and negotiate contract terms to minimize risk and maximize value.
• Keep an up-to-date supplier database, run periodic performance reviews and monitor contract performance, renewals and expiry dates.
• Support internal and external audits with full compliance and proper documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Telecommunications or a relevant field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in telecom.
• Good knowledge of the Bahrain market and of telecommunication procurement practices.

Required skills

• Budgeting and reporting, cost management and contract law basics and terminology.
• Negotiation skills and relationship management.
• Oracle system.
