Production Engineer

About the role

Havelock One Interiors is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to lead its sheet‑metal workshop in Askar, Bahrain. The role focuses on managing fabrication and welding teams, ensuring efficient production of bespoke interior joinery and metal fittings for the company’s turnkey fit‑out projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day production activities in the workshop alongside supervisors, overseeing 50‑60 fabrication and welding professionals.
• Monitor and adjust daily production schedules to meet project deadlines.
• Supervise a dedicated team of 20 fabricators and welders, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Produce hand‑sketches for bespoke metal fabrication detailing.
• Oversee production under the direction of the senior production engineer.
• Ensure optimal performance of sheet‑metal machinery, including laser cutters, press brakes and rolling equipment.
• Maintain 5S workplace organization and enforce PPE compliance.
• Utilise basic knowledge of Autodesk and Epicor for production planning and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the sheet‑metal fabrication industry.
• Strong understanding of sheet‑metal machinery and processes such as laser cutting, press brake, rolling, MIG/TIG welding and related fabrication tools.
• Proven experience in metal interior fabrication for fit‑out projects.
