Project Management Team Leader - AI Projects

About the role

The Project Management Team Leader oversees the day-to-day execution of projects, leading a team of individual contributors to deliver high-quality outputs that meet client specifications and quality standards. The role coordinates workflow, assigns tasks, provides technical guidance, acts as the first line of escalation for the team and contributes to process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Assign tasks to team members based on skills and capacity, monitor work-in-progress, track productivity metrics and ensure timely delivery of deliverables
• Review outputs for accuracy and adherence to guidelines, give feedback and corrections, run spot checks and audits, and keep quality metrics above target thresholds
• Track individual and team KPIs, identify trends and bottlenecks, implement corrective actions and report metrics to management
• Act as technical resource for complex project questions, clarify ambiguous cases and maintain consistency across the team
• Lead and develop a high-performing, engaged team through guidance, support and mentorship

Required profile

• 3+ years of work experience in project management focused on the artificial intelligence / machine learning industry
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management of Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science or a similar field
• B2+ oral and written English

Required skills

• Understanding of data annotation, machine learning concepts and project workflows
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and techniques for planning, milestone tracking and timeline management
• Ability to manage daily workflows, assign and prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects with budgets of $5-7M in data annotation, localization and NLP
• General budget management expertise and ability to troubleshoot technical and operational issues
