Registrar / Senior Registrar – Non‑Invasive Cardiology

About the role

Al Salam Specialist Hospital is seeking a highly competent Registrar or Senior Registrar to join the Cardiology department on a full‑time, on‑call basis. The role focuses on acute cardiac care in the Emergency Department and the Coronary Care Unit, providing critical assessment and management of a wide range of cardiovascular emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Cover first‑on‑call shifts, evaluating and stabilising patients with acute cardiac presentations.
• Manage Acute Coronary Syndromes, including STEMI, NSTEMI and Unstable Angina.
• Treat Acute Decompensated Heart Failure, cardiogenic shock and pulmonary oedema.
• Diagnose and intervene in cardiac arrhythmias, hypertensive crises, valvular emergencies, pericardial disease and pulmonary embolism.
• Oversee patient care in the Coronary Care Unit, ensuring appropriate monitoring and treatment.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate qualification in Cardiology or Internal Medicine (MD, MRCP or equivalent).
• Proven experience managing critical cardiology patients in an intensive‑care or CCU setting.
• Eligibility for a valid licence from Bahrain’s National Health Regulatory Authority.
• Strong knowledge of non‑invasive cardiac diagnostics.
