About the role
Yokogawa is seeking a seasoned Sales Proposal Engineer to lead the creation of technical and commercial proposals for its automation and instrumentation portfolio. You will act as the bridge between customers, internal experts, and third‑party suppliers to deliver competitive, compliant offers that support the company’s sustainability and digital transformation goals.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the full proposal lifecycle: review RFQs, identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage bid timelines.
- Negotiate with third‑party suppliers to secure optimal technical and commercial terms.
- Coordinate with Yokogawa’s internal points of contact to align proposals with customer requirements and company standards.
- Represent the company in pre‑bid and post‑bid discussions, tracking offer status and ensuring compliance with client specifications.
- Validate cost models, perform margin analysis, and identify cost‑optimization opportunities while maintaining technical integrity.
Required profile
- Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
- 12‑15 years of experience in automation, preferably in instrumentation sales (pressure, level, temperature, flow).
- Strong understanding of MRO opportunity lifecycles, evaluation, and cost estimation.
- Proficiency with sales tools such as CRM systems.
- Fluent French (mandatory) and strong English communication skills.
