SDGs Hub and Innovation Lab Coordinator

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking an SDGs Hub and Innovation Lab Coordinator to support the establishment and day-to-day operation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Hub and Innovation Lab at the University of Bahrain. Working under UNDP supervision and in close partnership with the university, the coordinator will help embed SDG integration, foster innovation and manage outreach activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of the SDGs Hub and Innovation Lab in accordance with UNDP and university policies.
• Plan and implement workshops, events, programmes and other activities that promote SDG‑related innovation.
• Support the establishment and operationalisation of the Hub and Lab, including liaison with relevant stakeholders.
• Manage partnerships, outreach initiatives and knowledge‑exchange activities.
• Monitor progress of activities and ensure alignment with SDG and sustainable‑development priorities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coordination and operational management of projects or programmes.
• Familiarity with UNDP procedures and university collaboration processes.
• Ability to work under supervision of UNDP while maintaining close coordination with the University of Bahrain.
• Strong organisational and communication skills to support partnership building and outreach.
