Senior Audit & Assurance Professional – Bahrain

About the role

Deloitte Bahrain is seeking a Senior professional in Audit & Assurance. In this role you will deliver high‑quality audit services, build trust with stakeholders and contribute to the firm’s commitment to integrity and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust and credibility with clients by understanding their expectations.
• Deliver audit services that reflect regulatory and risk‑management considerations.
• Analyse key statistics and industry data before engagements begin.
• Adapt referral instructions to define audit scope and focus areas.
• Liaise with on‑shore and off‑shore Centres of Excellence, ensuring accurate information exchange.
• Track deliverables from component auditors and assess their relevance.
• Link risks, controls, procedures and findings across the audit file in a timely manner.
• Articulate audit quality milestones and challenge audit plan timings where appropriate.
• Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewer questions and distinguishes accounting from audit judgments.
• Develop relationships beyond the finance function to enhance understanding of client operations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated practical awareness of regulation and risk management impacts on business processes.
• Strong understanding of audit structures, group audit referrals and quality milestones.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to challenge timelines and improve audit efficiency.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with diverse teams and stakeholders.
