Senior Auditor – External Audit (Bahrain)

About the role

Grant Thornton Abdulaal Bahrain is seeking an experienced Senior Auditor to lead external audit engagements. You will manage client relationships, review financial information, and mentor junior audit staff while working on a diverse portfolio of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage external audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Perform audit procedures in accordance with professional auditing standards.
• Review and analyse financial statements, working papers and audit reports for accuracy.
• Identify risks, accounting issues and audit findings and communicate them to the team and clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing professional support and resolving audit‑related concerns.
• Supervise, train and mentor junior audit team members.
• Stay updated on changes to accounting standards, auditing regulations, IFRS and GAAP.
• Support business development activities such as networking and client proposals.
• Assist with special projects and assignments as required by senior management.

Required profile

• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of audit and assurance experience, preferably with a recognized public accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of external audit procedures and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent communication, analytical and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple audit engagements and meet deadlines.
