FP&A Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

Calo is a fast‑growing meal‑plan app operating in multiple markets. The FP&A Manager will own the company’s planning, forecasting and performance reporting, turning data into actionable decisions for the leadership team. The role also drives the transformation of the FP&A function through automation and AI‑assisted analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and driver‑based financial modelling across markets and kitchens.
• Own monthly close, variance analysis and produce board‑level reporting packs.
• Partner with market GMs, Operations, Marketing and Product to build business cases, evaluate new kitchen launches, B2B and retail initiatives.
• Design and track core KPIs such as contribution margin per meal, cohort LTV and payback periods.
• Identify cost‑efficiency opportunities across food cost, packaging, labour, delivery and G&A, and run zero‑based reviews.
• Automate the reporting cycle using data‑warehouse pulls, AI tools for narrative generation and scheduled workflows.
• Maintain the planning calendar, controls and documentation while ensuring a single source of truth with Accounting, Data and Engineering teams.

Required profile

• 6+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking or consulting, with at least 2 years leading people or a planning cycle.
• Experience in a high‑growth, multi‑market consumer‑tech or food‑delivery business.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; MBA, CFA, CMA or ACCA a plus.
• Fluent in English; Arabic a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced financial modelling in Google Sheets or Excel (driver‑based, cohort models).
• Proficiency with AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT for analysis and narrative drafting.
• Experience using BI platforms like Metabase, Looker or Power BI.
