Senior Coordinator, Career Center

About the role

The Career Center Senior Coordinator provides career support to students and helps them plan their career paths. The role covers career guidance, internship coordination, maintaining industry relationships and keeping abreast of current employment trends. It sits under the supervision of the Career Center Manager and links students, colleges, other university departments and industry partners.

Key responsibilities

• Collect data on students' resumes, employment status and career aspirations, using tools that aid data collection and management
• Follow up on and encourage responses to career center surveys such as internship feedback, expected graduate, destination, employer satisfaction and market analysis surveys
• Understand the Career Development and Guidance Policy and related policies to answer student and faculty questions
• Issue necessary letters under the supervision of the career center manager
• Take part in career center meetings and prepare and share the data requested by the line manager
• Manage the career center's databases and documents
• Help plan and run events such as career fairs, workshops, seminars, field trips and alumni events
• Contribute to departmental goals, prepare reports and analyses, and keep records for quality assurance and audits

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Management, Human Resources Management or Marketing; other relevant degrees may be considered
• Relevant professional training or certification is desirable; a Master's in a related field is a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage several projects at once

Required skills

• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication in English (US) and Arabic
• Strong event planning and project management skills
• Office management technology, including strong MS Excel and database management
• Data analysis and assessment skills
• Knowledge of job market trends and industry developments is a plus
