KS2 Teacher - August 2027 Start

About the role

The British School of Bahrain (BSB) is an international school in Bahrain offering a British education to students aged 3-18, with a curriculum based on the National Curriculum for England and Wales, adapted to the local context, and offering IGCSE, A-Level and BTEC qualifications. Inspired Education is inviting expressions of interest from teachers of Key Stage 2 (KS2) for an August 2027 start.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge all students, in line with the school's curriculum, policies and external assessment requirements, and individualise and differentiate learning.
• Assess students' in-class and at-home learning regularly, give targeted feedback and support progress, including in external assessments.
• Create a classroom and school environment where students feel valued, supported and ready to take risks in their learning.
• Work closely with colleagues, share best practice and pursue your own professional development.
• Take an active part in the co-curricular programme, from leading clubs to contributing to whole-school initiatives.
• Maintain open, constructive communication with parents and build strong partnerships.

Required profile

• A genuine passion for education and the ability to engage and motivate young people.
• In-depth expertise in your subject and the ability to inspire students and support outstanding progress.
• Experience in pastoral care and promoting student wellbeing, with a focus on individual attention.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, working collaboratively with colleagues and independently, and building positive relationships with families.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, able to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines under pressure.
• PGCE, QTS or equivalent, with excellent academic credentials and, ideally, evidence of post-graduate study.
