Senior Estimator (Civil)

About the role

The Senior Estimator (Civil) will lead the preparation of accurate, competitive cost estimates and tender submissions for civil, infrastructure, marine and building projects in Bahrain. The role requires deep technical analysis of tender documents, coordination with subcontractors and internal teams, and delivery of comprehensive bids on strict deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents to understand scope, technical requirements, commercial obligations and risks.
• Supervise and verify quantity take‑offs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and rate analyses using first‑principles estimating methods.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for inclusion in tender pricing.
• Identify value‑engineering opportunities and develop cost‑optimization strategies.
• Conduct risk assessments and incorporate appropriate contingencies.
• Coordinate with planning, technical, operations and estimation departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of experience in civil, infrastructure, building, industrial or marine estimating roles.
• Proven experience on GCC or Middle‑East construction projects is preferred.
• Strong analytical, commercial and numerical abilities with the capacity to work under pressure.
