Senior Government Relations Officer

About the role

The Senior Government Relations Officer will act as the primary liaison between Talabat and governmental authorities in Bahrain for both the tMart and Logistics verticals. This role ensures regulatory compliance, supports business continuity, and drives expansion initiatives across all operational facets.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the focal point for government relations, handling licensing, regulatory, labor, and governmental affairs for tMart stores and Logistics operations.
• Manage establishment, renewal, and ongoing regulatory requirements for stores, riders, vehicles, and facilities.
• Coordinate correspondence and investigations with the Ministry of Interior, CID, Traffic Directorate, and other law‑enforcement bodies.
• Maintain corporate licenses and registrations, including Commercial Registration, Trade License, Chamber of Commerce membership, import and municipality permits.
• Oversee LMRA portal activities such as work visa applications, renewals, and cancellations.
• Administer employee CPR cards, GOSI processes, and driving‑license procedures.
• Utilize the Tamkeen portal to register employees and apply for eligible support programs.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, or compliance within Bahrain.
• Strong knowledge of local licensing, labor law, and public‑sector procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with ministries, law‑enforcement agencies, and internal stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple regulatory processes simultaneously.
