Senior Group Audit Specialist

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking a Senior Group Audit Specialist to support statutory and ICV audits across its Middle East and African entities. The role ensures compliance with local regulations, audit standards, and company policies while contributing to accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute statutory and ICV audits for YMA Middle East and African entities.
• Prepare and review financial analyses, reconciliations, schedules, and reports for stand‑alone and consolidated statements in line with local GAAP/IFRS.
• Track audit progress, resolve open items, and liaise with internal teams, external auditors, and stakeholders.
• Gather, verify, and consolidate audit‑related data to support financial reporting and regulatory submissions.
• Implement and follow‑up corrective actions, mitigate risks, and strengthen internal controls.
• Monitor updates in accounting standards, audit requirements, and industry practices, informing the Group Leader of relevant changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in auditing, accounting, or financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, ACCA, or equivalent.
• Experience with regulatory audits or compliance reviews.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain strict confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Knowledge of data analytics or audit software tools.
