Senior Project Manager – Events

About the role

The Senior Project Manager – Events will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a portfolio of events from concept through completion. You will ensure each event meets client expectations, stays within scope, budget, and timeline, and adheres to company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of events, from definition of scope and objectives to final hand‑over.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to guarantee seamless execution.
• Act as the primary liaison with clients, clarifying requirements and managing expectations.
• Prepare, monitor, and control event budgets to achieve financial targets.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, resolving issues in real time.
• Track progress against scope, schedule, quality, and cost standards.
• Manage vendor selection, negotiations, and performance monitoring.
• Secure necessary permits, approvals, and regulatory documentation.
• Provide regular status reports and presentations to stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the lifecycle.
• Drive process improvements and remove operational obstacles.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise project teams to ensure high performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the events industry.
• Proven track record of managing projects from planning through execution and closure.
• Strong leadership ability to manage cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Demonstrated capability to manage budgets, control costs, and meet financial targets.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Knowledge of event permits, approvals, and regulatory requirements.
