Senior Software Engineer (Cybersecurity Platform)

About the role

We are building a high‑throughput cyber‑security platform that ingests massive volumes of security telemetry, normalises it, runs automated analysis and provides operators with actionable insights. As a Senior Software Engineer you will own critical subsystems, ensure they scale under load, and mentor junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate one or more core platform components such as telemetry ingestion, workflow orchestration, third‑party integration or enforcement engine.
• Take full ownership from architecture through production deployment, monitoring and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate closely with operations teams to resolve incidents and continuously improve system observability.
• Guide and mentor associate engineers, fostering a culture of high engineering standards.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role on production systems.
• Proven track record designing and operating large‑scale distributed systems; able to discuss throughput, latency, availability and failure‑recovery metrics.
• Deep understanding of queues, streams, workflow engines, retries, idempotency, back‑pressure and observability.
• Strong communication skills and ability to hold peers to high technical standards.
