Senior Solutions Architect – Advanced Process Control

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of Advanced Process Control (APC) solutions across Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Polymer domains. The role combines deep technical expertise with project leadership to deliver high‑impact control strategies that support the energy transition and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for APC and Model Predictive Control (MVC) across process units and define hardware/software architectures.
• Conduct scoping studies, base‑case preparation, PID controller tuning, step tests, and model identification.
• Lead end‑to‑end APC/MVC projects, including control definition, functional design specifications, detailed engineering, plant testing, site integration, SAT, commissioning and PGTR.
• Provide technical and managerial coordination for multiple large‑scale projects and mentor a team of APC consultants.
• Deliver advisory, maintenance, and modification support to maximise APC uptime and train plant operators and engineers.

Required profile

• Extensive experience commissioning APC controllers in refining, petrochemical or polymer processes.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑disciplinary projects and lead technical teams.
• Strong communication skills to interact with plant personnel, customers and internal stakeholders.
