Senior Systems Engineer – Radar & Communications

About the role

ITC Defense is looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration and fielding of radar and communications systems for international border and coastal surveillance programs in Bahrain. The role supports U.S. Government Foreign Military Sales and Security Cooperation initiatives, delivering technical expertise for mission‑critical maritime security operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop system architectures, interface designs and technical documentation for integrated surveillance and communications solutions.
• Support Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and maintain Interface Control Documents, engineering drawings, and technical baselines.
• Produce Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables, site survey reports, SOVT plans, installation procedures and V&V documentation.
• Conduct site surveys, define equipment placement, communications architecture and network design.
• Lead hardware and software integration, installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and field verification of radar, communications and surveillance systems.
• Perform requirements analysis, configuration management and technical risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare technical memoranda, engineering reports, white papers and executive briefings.
• Deliver training and knowledge transfer to customer personnel and project teams.
• Travel domestically and internationally, including deployments of up to one year.

Required profile

• Strong background in defense systems engineering, integrated surveillance and communications technologies.
• Experience supporting complex Department of Defense or international defense programs.
• Willingness to travel frequently, including extended overseas assignments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
