Server Engineer – Manama, Bahrain

About the role

VAM Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced Server Engineer to join its IT team in Manama, Bahrain. The role focuses on managing, optimizing, and supporting the company’s server infrastructure and related services.

Key responsibilities

• Run and monitor all server systems and related IT infrastructure.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and server management tools.
• Ensure high availability and performance of server environments.
• Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and work with developers to implement fixes.
• Maintain security policies, backup strategies, and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Write and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.
• Provide technical support to staff and coordinate with external IT partners.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot servers, storage, backup, email Exchange, AD, and related services.
• Produce daily technical reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in server management and enterprise technologies.
• Proven ability to manage cloud servers on Amazon AWS.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
