Setting Out Manager – Manufacturing & Joinery Projects

About the role

The Setting Out Manager will lead the coordination of internal and external clients and the setting‑out team to ensure smooth project manufacturing, on‑time delivery and client satisfaction while balancing quality and cost performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee project programmes, schedules and client expectations throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
• Manage the preparation, review and submission of shop drawings, cutting lists and loading lines.
• Coordinate material procurement, planning and delivery to guarantee readiness before production starts.
• Identify and resolve RFIs, specification discrepancies and variation clearances with clients and internal teams.
• Lead communication with production departments, site teams and functional areas to align on project requirements.
• Prepare project status reports and forward‑plan schedules for cutting‑list issuance.

Required profile

• Minimum ten years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within joinery or construction.
• Proven track record in all phases of setting out – from site surveys to shop‑drawing preparation, material take‑off, ordering and loading line creation.
• Strong knowledge of joinery materials such as timber, boards, veneers and laminates.
